It could be that you are already one of our longstanding clients and you have a property which you sold yourself or through the intervention of an estate-agent.

Normally the after-sale procedure is not covered by the services of the estate-agent.

If you have signed with them an agency contract, their duty has been completed after finding a potential buyer.

 

Of course, you can try to deal with the sale and tax return yourself but most of the time this will not be easy if only for the language barrier.

Normally you will need a lawyer and accountant, but we can do it all for you.

 

We can assist you with:

 
  • Arranging all the (missing) necessary property documents and to hand them over to the lawyer of the buyer.
  • To read, approve and sign the promissory contract on your behalf.
  • To stay in touch with the lawyer of the buying party and answer all his/her questions,
  • Represent you in the sale (Escritura)
  • Assist you with winding up your affairs in Portugal in case you return home
  • To submit and pay your IRS declaration (the year after the sale!)
